The Energy Leadership™ Index (ELI) 360 assessment is the proprietary, research-backed assessment tool that takes something abstract, like the way a person views the world, and turns it into something tangible—a metric that you can see and feel and even reevaluate in the future. What is the ELI 360?

The Energy Leadership™ Index 360° Assessment combines the powerful insight of the ELI SelfAssessment with a 360-degree view of the coachee in 36 different leadership competencies, offering a robust understanding of the coachee’s energetic makeup and how their self-perceptions align or differ from the perceptions of those around them.

It is an attitudinal/behavioral assessment tool that captures how an individual currently perceives and approaches work and life.

With the awareness and insights gained through the Energy Leadership Index 360 debrief, coachee has the opportunity to reshape their attitudes and worldview and “transform who they are.”

The Energy Leadership™ Index 360 assessment can be given at the start of a coaching relationship and as a regular follow up assessment to provide tangible, research-backed ROI data for any coaching engagement.

How the ELI 360 Works

The coachee receives the assessment and answers all of the typical questions from the regular ELI self-assessment that measure their energetic makeup and level of consciousness.

They also answer questions that ask them to rate themselves on 36 leadership competencies, like communication, or their approach to change.

The coachee chooses raters who will also evaluate them on these leadership competencies, and the raters receive a questionnaire. The raters then evaluate the coachee based on their perceptions of the coachee.

The coach prepares the report, and the coachee receives the combined results of all the raters, which shows them the comparison against how they rated themselves.



How many raters do I need?

You can set up different groups of raters. For example, “co-workers” or “family” can be groups.

For each group, you will need at least 3 raters, with the exception of a “manager” group. You only need 1 manager rater (note that none of the groups is compulsory - e.g if you don’t have a manager, then simply do not use this group).

Why at least 3 raters? Why only 1 for the manager when there are at least 3 in other categories?

Having at least 3 raters per group allows raters to remain anonymous, leading to more honest ratings. Anonymity is especially important in the case of direct reports, so that no one fears negative consequences for being honest. Conversely, people generally only have one manager or supervisor, so their ratings aren’t anonymous.



What do my raters need to do?

Your raters will receive an email to complete the rating. They will rate the coachee on a scale of 1-5 on 36 leadership competencies, and have space to add additional feedback. The process takes around 15-30 minutes depending on the level of feedback they want to give.
